China: Angry Protests Follow Brutal Seven-Month Forced Abortion |

I hear that this terrible crime has increased pressure on President Obama to condemn forced abortion. That would be a good first step.

I have passed legislation against forced abortion here in Oklahoma. I also debated and voted in favor of other legislation on the same issue by my colleague, Representative Paul Wesselhoft. Without exception, the “pro choice” people were highly critical and even profane in some of their comments concerning these efforts.

I believe that there are people who advocate for legal abortion actually are pro choice, so, even though I do not agree with them at all, I also don’t do things like put the label in quotes or call them “pro death” or any other unkind name. I refuse to lower a debate concerning something as noble as the sanctity of human life to a name-calling contest.

However, these people vehemently opposed legislation which would help stop forced abortion. I feel that their actions in this matter indicate that, whatever else they may be, they are NOT “pro choice” but rather blatantly and cruelly pro abortion.

I apologize for putting up two such grim posts back to back. I only do it because these crimes against women, children and, indeed, against all of humankind must not be hidden and allowed to continue.

  1. Hi Rebecca,
Your approach is great! You have a way of taking a strong stand on a subject, yet in a tone that is respectful and surely cannot be seen as anything but respectful by reasonable people. Oh that everyone on all sides of the proverbial isle would follow suit.

    1. That’s such a nice compliment. Thank you David!

  2. Oh it’s all so sad. Thank you for your work on this front. I hope Obama can find the courage to speak out against it.

  3. The worst thing is staying silent when we should speak up. If everyone else can be loud about their beliefs and opinions, certainly we Christians should be louder and more upfront with our beliefs and love for our Savior. Excellent post!

    1. Thank you Amanda. I couldn’t agree more.

  4. Peter Wiebe · ·

Jesus advocated for women and children in a culture that often viewed them as little more than property. I believe He is pleased when we follow in His steps. Thank you for shining a light on this subject. I was unaware before I read your post.

    1. Thank you Peter. I agree with you. You have a fine blog, btw.

  5. Thank you for standing up for the unborn. This gruesome practice is just one of the things that atheistic countries indulge in. When President Obama says we are not a Chrisian nation that is just one of paths we are headed down. Anything in the name of the common good is ok if there are no moral absolutes. Christians have been in this battle for 40 years and I believe we are making some headway at the state level thanks to brave souls like you.

    1. I believe you are right that there is a correlation between this and atheist governments. They also either support or allow other terrible things, such as buying and selling human organs.

There is a growing push to legalize buying and selling human organs here in the USA. From what I’ve seen here in Oklahoma, the medical associations are dominated by those who support, or at least resist efforts to stop these things.

Thank you for your great comment!

  9. Don’ t feel any need to apologise – you are doing His work reminding us that there’s such evil in this world.

    1. Thank you Jessica!

Thank you for keeping us informed and for your work to protect the innocent children.

  11. Thank you, but you don’t need to thank me. It is a gift and a privilege I don’t deserve to be able to do anything I can to help protect mothers and their babies.

Thank you for the time to inform and to stand up for the mothers and the innocent children.
And I would like to thank you on behalf of Daylight Tune Ministry teams for visiting and liking the poetry, “Cinema & TV”.

    1. Thank you Yoshiko. Thank you also for what you are doing.

You are welcome. I really thank God for saving me through Christ, so I’m offering my talents to Him out of love.

  13. Hi All: This is a youtube video I ran across on twitter about an abortion clinic in North Carolina performing sex selection abortions. Watch it. It is so awful to think someone is so nonchalant about the sanctity of life. Absolutely shocking and crazy!

    1. Thanks for posting this.

  14. Thank you Rebecca for reading and liking my article on abortion. My awareness of the gruesome reality of this issue came by visions which the Lord has been showing me since May 30. I was not very concerned about it though I’ve always known it is evil, because in our country, abortion has always been banned and anyone who does it illegally is certainly going to be prosecuted when caught. But since God opened my eyes, I will continue to speak against it as He leads.

    Blessings to you in Christ.

    1. Thank you Cynthia. The Lord has sent similar visions to other people I know.
